Religious or not
About one card in four in this group speaks of God, heaven or prayer. The rest use plain words. Both are here on purpose, because the right card depends on the person receiving it.
- Plain: “A beautiful spirit gone from this earth remains in our hearts.” Inside: “With deepest sympathy.”
- Faith: “Now there is no more weariness, now there is no more pain. God gives His children wings and sets them free.”

Cards for later
Grief does not end with the funeral, and a card that arrives months afterward is often the one that is kept.
- The anniversary of a loss: “The one who was deeply loved will always be dearly missed.” Inside: “Thinking of you on this anniversary of your loss and hoping you are comforted by many precious memories.”
- The first Christmas: “Remembering your loved one at Christmastime.”
