Pet sympathy cards
Cards for someone who has lost a dog, a cat or any animal who was part of the family. Each one is 5 x 7 with an envelope. The front and inside wording is printed on every product page, so you can choose the words as carefully as the picture.
Finding the right words
Some people want a card that names what happened, and some want one that simply says someone is thinking of them. This group has both.
- A card about memory: “May the emptiness in your home and the loneliness in your heart be filled with the gift of treasured memories.”
- A card about what the pet was: “More than a pet, more than a companion, you’ve lost a special friend.”
- A card that says very little: “These gentle creatures who touch our lives for a while will live in our hearts forever.” Inside: “We’re so sorry for your loss.”
The wording in this group is non-religious.
Buying a few, or buying for a shop
The cards are sold in packs of six, so one pack covers the friends, neighbors and clients you will want to write to this year. Shops, groomers, sitters, shelters and clinics can open a wholesale account for 50% off list prices. How wholesale works
Veterinary teams: see the veterinary set, which adds euthanasia and new-client cards.
Questions
Is there a card for the loss of a cat? A dog?
Yes. Some designs are written for a dog or a cat by name, and others for any pet. The product name and the wording on its page tell you which.
What do I write inside?
Use the pet’s name and one true thing you remember. What to write in a pet sympathy card has examples.
